An Odd Ode from Sounds Familiar

We're four leading ladies from London
We're having a wonderful time
We sing songs about mothers and babies and brothers
And songs about love that don't rhyme.

We've sung with the best - and some of the rest
And loved every moment, be sure
But the things we love most are the friends we can boast
And the places and hosts we've sung for.

We've sung in Bournemouth, Brighton, Blackpool and Crawley
Sevenoaks, Plymouth, Whitley Bay, Killarney
Croydon, Columbus, Stockholm and Windsor
Kansas City, London City, Harrogate and Hertford.

We've been to Harpenden, Wokingham, Badger's Mount and Amersham
Worthing, Reading, Milton Keynes and Birmingham
Maidstone, Cardiff, Oxford Street and Guildford
Goff's Oak, Bromley, Aberdare and Greenford.

We've been to Edmonton, Richmond, Penrith and Chicago
Now Colchester and Dublin will soon be added too.
There are sure to be some that we've missed off the list
But that's because we were too......... travel weary to recall them.

We've won a few trophies ( medals and such )
And bathed in the warmth of much love
If we could change places with some other foursome......
We wouldn't !

Now 'We Love The Limelight' - you've probably guessed
But singing our hearts out is what we do best.
We'd like to go on for the rest of our lives
But somewhere are husbands who want back their wives........ BUT.....

They'll just have to wait !
